SCORING RUBRIC SPEAKING

Speaking is a very important skill in learning English. It shows how well students can say their ideas clearly and with confidence. In vocational schools, speaking is also useful for future jobs because students need to talk and work with other people in real situations. That is why teachers need clear and fair rules to check students’ speaking ability. 

This scoring guide helps teachers check students’ speaking in Unit 3 about Procedure Text for Grade XI students. It looks at several parts such as fluency and pronunciation, content or task result, grammar and vocabulary, confidence and interaction, and the way students organize their speech. Each part has levels from poor to excellent to make the score fair and correct.

With this guide, teachers can give honest scores and helpful advice for students. It also helps students know what they need to do in a speaking task and how to speak better, with good pronunciation, correct grammar, clear ideas, and more confidence.
